Sloan's Salvation

Friday night, on Christmas Eve, Charles and I were driving around with the kids in the car. Sloan starts asking about where Jesus is. Charles said that He is in Heaven, but he is also in our hearts. He asked Sloan, "Have you ever asked Jesus to live in your heart?" Sloan said, "no." So Charles replied, "Well, lets pray to ask Him in!" So Sloan prayed to have Jesus and the Holy Spirit to come live in his heart.

He has been surprisingly docile since then! I think God is at work within his little heart. I pray that both of my kids would serve the Lord all the days of their lives. I am so thankful that both of my children have made the decision to follow Christ at young ages: Sloan 3 and Jaden 4. I am blessed to have such wonderful kids!

Jaden's Graduation

Jaden graduated from Pre-K a couple of weeks ago. She was so cute! She came marching in the gym with her little hat and tassle. She sang a few songs and then got to have her picture made with her teacher. After graduation we went to her classroom and recieved a box full of treasures that she had been collecting all year. She has really excelled in school, which comes as no surprise. She has always been a bright child. She has a passion for learning that I hope she will cling to all of her life.

Jaden's Dream of Heaven

Jaden had a dream today about heaven. She said she saw Jesus, Daddy (Charles, Mom (me) and Papa Tony in heaven. Jesus was wearing a white robe with a purple sash across one side only. He had power in his hands to heal. He had brown hair and brown eyes and he told her, "I love you." Jaden had on a princess dress and Jesus said, "You are beautiful, Jaden."

Papa Tony wasn't sick anymore. He was wearing a robe like all the other people in heaven. His robe was purple. Other people had blue, green, or yellow robes (she originally described them as "jammies"). Flowers were in the grass and there were trees. Kids had lovies.

Jaden saw a litlle boy who was 4 years old. His name was Samuel. He had blue eyes and brown heair. He had lovies in his room: a bear, an elephant, and a lion. The boy said he was going to be Jaden's friend. We think that this boy could have been her brother. We miscarried when she was only 7 months old.

School, school, & more school

So I have now completed 5 CLEP/ICE tests and the GRE. Today I submitted my application for grad school at NSU and found out that my score on the GRE was really good. I knew that I scored a lot higher than I needed to be admitted, but the guy at NSU said that I had the highest score he had seen there! I was so excited!

I am plugging away at Psychology Statistics, which is a lot easier than I had anticipated, and Theories & Practice of Counseling. Once I get past this quarter it should be smooth sailing to graduation. The internship at Asbury is also going well. It has been fun to go back after all these years and get caught up with everyone. There are so many precious friendships that I developed way back when that I am able to enjoy once again. I feel blessed for the opportunity to be there again.

Jaden is doing exceptionally well at school, too. She is enjoying school and seems to flourish in that environment. Sloan has been going to school on Wednesdays and misses it when he is not there. He is also going to the nursery at Asbury on Monday mornings. They are growing up!
